Private Server Upgrade Request

This form should be submitted so you can be added to the scheduled
migration to RH 7.1 and Web GUI version 3.0.4. The migration process is
simply exporting all domains out of your present environment and importing
them into the new environment. Since this process is not actually an upgrade,
please be aware of the following items that will be affected by your request.

  • Any custom modules or system software you have installed will need to be reinstalled by you after the server is migrated this includes the freeware webstats program Webalizer. This does not apply to cgi-scripts installed within a domain's cgi-bin.
  • All custom changes to Apache will be lost.
  • If you are using your own DNS, parked domains and custom MX entries will need to be re-added. Parked domains can be re-added in the new GUI through single entries in the new web GUI under each master domain.
  • All main domain usernames that exceed 16 characters will be truncated to 16 characters in order for it to work properly with mysql.
Much of the custom software will not be carried over because of the dramatic changes between the RH 6.1 and 7.1 operating systems. The root libraries and config that each are based on are, in many cases, not compatible with one another. As for Apache and DNS bind, the newer versions are setup completely different for improved operation from the older version.
